#Hashtag
As social media increases, so does the "lingo" we use. Hashtags have been around for awhile if I am remembering correctly. I have never used a hashtag before but I have a lot of experience around them. I always had thought it was a weird system the media uses to find post that relate to each other. It makes sense but I also never really like hashtags especially when there is a big group of them being used. Also, when my parents would post something on facebook with a hashtag it always strayed me aways from using them. In the article Hashtag Activism: The Revolution Will be Tweeted, it talks about how using a hashtag can make a difference and how the hashtags that are used help take action. A hashtag can go a long way around the world. Since anyone can find any hashtag it travels the world rather quickly allowing for a bigger change to occur. This is very important. I also recognize the use of hashtags for the March for Change campaigners. They are marching for changes in the laws about gun and who is able to have them. Hashtags although I thought had no meaning they actually have a lot of meaning and help spread the word around the world.
