Entry #10- Younglife

Younglife

When  I lived in Colorado I was apart of this church group called Younglife. It is for high schoolers who want to have a good time and strengthen their faith. I went to several camps with them and had so much fun. But the time had come the summer of my sophomore year I was not a camper. I was a worker. I had signed up for work crew and I was waiting on my approval. I was hoping to get placed either in Arizona or in Canada. I was sadly not placed in either of those. I was placed in Oregon. A place I have never been. I don't know what type of weather I am going to have to pack for. So Oregon is not as cool as Canada as I thought. I was leaving soon and I was not prepared at all. My mom drove me to the airport and I boarded my plane and soon enough I was in Oregon. I was looking for kids with Younglife gear on so I didn't have to sit alone. I couldn't find any until one girl came up to me and in the sweetest voice ever asked me if I was on Work Crew at Washington Family Ranch and at that moment we clicked and then a bunch of people started to join. We were playing games and making too much noise. But I knew this next month was going to be amazing. We all go on the bus and drove 3 hours to the middle of nowhere. Although it was in the middle of nowhere. I was not able to have my phone and I was with so many strangers. It was the best month of my life and I could not of asked for it any other way.
